The Apex 9mm Drop-In Threaded Barrel is machined from heat-treated, premium button rifled steel barrel blanks, giving you a barrel that’s built to handle the high-round-count abuse and gritty dust of an Arizona range session. With a 1:10” twist rate and a standard 1/2-28 thread pattern, this barrel accepts nearly all popular 9mm suppressors and muzzle devices right out of the box.
No fitting required. This is a true drop-in upgrade. You remove your factory barrel, install the Apex barrel, and you’re back in business. That means less downtime at the workbench and more time shooting, whether you’re running drills in the desert heat or testing subsonic loads at dusk. The barrel is finished with a durable melonite treatment that resists corrosion and wear from sweat, holster friction, and the abrasive fine sand that finds its way into everything here in Arizona.
Every barrel ships with a thread protector that includes a captive O-ring. That O-ring keeps the protector snug during holstering and unholstering, so you won’t lose it in the dirt or have it walk off during a long string of fire. If you plan to run a suppressor, the threads stay clean and ready for your can.
Important fitment note: If your SD9 or SD9 VE slide has a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI), you will need to either remove the LCI block entirely or purchase and install the Apex No Profile Loaded Chamber Indicator Block. This barrel is not compatible with the factory LCI block in place. No other modifications are needed.
