Description
This Apex Grade 9mm Gunsmith Fit Threaded Barrel is built for shooters who demand precision in Arizona’s punishing conditions. Whether you’re dealing with dust storms, triple-digit heat, or running suppressed, this barrel holds up and delivers. It’s a true gunsmith-fit component — meaning you’ll need to hand-fit it to your specific M&P slide and frame for maximum accuracy. Once properly fitted, expect sub-one-inch five-shot groups at 25 yards. That’s match-grade performance from a drop-in-ready blank that requires final fitting.
Machined from heat-treated, cold-hammer-forged stainless steel blanks, these barrels use a 1:10” twist rate and Apex’s patented locking geometry. The 1/2-28 threaded muzzle accepts standard 9mm suppressors and compensators, and each barrel ships with a white stainless thread protector. This is the same barrel trusted by multiple law enforcement agencies for duty use — not a range toy.
Key specs and fitment details:
- Caliber: 9mm Luger (also works as a caliber conversion barrel for .40 S&W and .357 SIG M&P and M2.0 pistols)
- Twist rate: 1:10”
- Thread pitch: 1/2-28 (suppressor and compensator ready)
- Material: Heat-treated, cold-hammer-forged stainless steel
- Thread protector: White stainless steel (included)
- Fitment: Gunsmith fit — requires fitting to both slide and frame for best accuracy
- Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI): If your slide has an LCI, you must remove it or install an Apex No Profile LCI Block. The barrel is not compatible with the factory LCI block.
Caliber conversion use: This barrel can convert your .40 S&W or .357 SIG M&P or M2.0 to shoot 9mm. You’ll need a 9mm magazine for proper feeding. A small gap will appear on either side of the barrel hood when installed in a .40/.357 slide — this is normal and does not affect accuracy. For conversion use, we recommend this barrel for training and practice only. If you rely on this pistol for self-defense, buy it in the caliber you intend to carry.
Extractor tuning for conversions: If you experience extraction or feeding issues during conversion use, remove your extractor, clean the hook thoroughly, and clean the inside of the slide. This often resolves the issue.
