The Apex Optic Mount for ACRO/MPS footprint optics is built for exactly that — it’s a steel solution designed to survive high-round-count shooting in suppressor-friendly, high-dust environments.
Machined from a single billet of steel in the free state of Arizona, this mount replaces the factory optic plate on your Glock Gen 6 Optic Ready slide. The black PVD finish adds corrosion resistance against sweat, humidity, and dust. Steel is the right choice here: a modern 9mm slide sees roughly 3000g of acceleration per shot. Aluminum mounts (6061 or 7075) can tear rails off the base after a few thousand rounds. Steel holds up where aluminum fails, and that reliability is critical when you’re shooting in the heat or running suppressed.
The mount includes a damper that fits into the cavity under the front of the mount. It reduces vibration and closes the light gap between the mount locking key and the slide — less debris ingress, less movement. That’s a real advantage when you’re shooting in dusty conditions or after a long day at the range.
