This is the Apex Tactical 107003 Action Enhancement Trigger, a direct replacement for the factory hinged trigger on the S&W SD9, SD40, SD357, SDVE9, SDVE40, SDVE357, and Sigma series pistols. It’s a solid-body polymer trigger with a center-mounted pivoting safety. No hinge, no mush. The rounded face gives your finger a smooth, consistent contact point – feels natural, especially in the dry heat we get here in Tucson.
Install is straightforward: drop it in, no permanent modification to your frame. You’ll get about a 20% reduction in pre-travel and 10% less over-travel compared to the stock trigger. That means a shorter, cleaner pull with less wasted motion. It works great as a standalone part, but if you’re already running an Apex SD or Sigma spring kit, this trigger really shines – tighter reset, better feel all around.
We’ve tested these on the range out past Marana. Hot brass, dust, and a hundred rounds later – no complaints. Apex Tactical builds stuff that holds up in Arizona conditions.
