Apex Tactical builds this drop-in kit for the M&P Shield in 9mm and .40 S&W, and it’s a straight upgrade. The solid aluminum trigger body replaces the hinged setup, cutting pre-travel and over-travel by about 20%. The included Duty/Carry Kit smooths the pull and drops it roughly 2 pounds—varies with factory tolerances, but you’ll feel the difference. Reset is sharper and more positive.
Safety stays intact with a center-mounted pivoting safety. We strongly recommend having an armorer or gunsmith install the Ultimate Striker Block (USB) into the slide. It’s not a hard job, but it’s worth doing right. This kit is built for everyday carry or range work—no frills, just a cleaner, more consistent trigger.
