The Apex Failure Resistant Extractor (FRE) is built specifically to eliminate that weak point, delivering consistent, reliable extraction shot after shot, even when your pistol is running hot and choked with fine dust.

Machined from a solid billet of heat-treated stainless steel, this is not a cast or MIM part. The critical hook geometry—the surface that actually grabs your case rim—is cut using wire EDM for absolute precision. This means it engages the casing correctly every time, reducing the chance of a stovepipe or a failure to extract at the worst possible moment. For shooters running suppressed in the desert, this reliability is critical. The increased backpressure and fouling from a suppressor can overwhelm a loose or worn factory extractor; the FRE maintains positive case control under those harsh conditions.

This is a direct drop-in replacement for your factory extractor. No fitting, no filing, no slide modifications required. Install it and get back to shooting. The 10mm version of the FRE has been specifically optimized with a refined hook geometry to handle the higher pressure and unique feeding characteristics of the 10mm cartridge. It not only extracts reliably but also aids in proper feeding, smoothing out the entire cycle of operation. The 10mm kit also includes a fresh replacement Extractor Pivot Pin—a small but critical part that should be replaced during installation for a tight, slop-free fit.
