This Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit is built specifically for the aluminum frame M&P M2.0. If you shoot in Arizona, you know the drill: dust, heat, and running suppressed. This kit handles all of it without introducing reliability issues. It is not certified for steel frame M&P M2.0 pistols at this time—we are waiting on drop test results for those frames. Until then, stick with aluminum frame models only.

You set the pull weight yourself using the included Apex springs combined with the factory sear and trigger return springs. This gives you a usable range from duty/carry weight down to competition weight. That flexibility matters when you carry the same gun you shoot matches with. The kit uses a center-mounted pivoting safety that maintains factory safety values. All parts drop in directly—no filing, no fitting, no gunsmith required.

This is the Type 3 trigger variant. It keeps the same performance as the classic Apex trigger but with a different look. The front corners have chamfers instead of a radius, giving a slightly narrower feel without changing any functional surfaces. There are also decorative face cuts on the visible sides. It looks different, but it performs the same.

These kits have passed drop testing per Apex’s protocol in every size and configuration of the M&P M2.0 aluminum frame they are specified for. That is tested safety, not just claimed safety. There is also a recent change: the over-travel stop has been removed on metal frame M&P M2.0 pistols as of June 2025.
